Dear Family,
I was home alone yesterday afternoon when the phone rang. Normally I don't like picking it up because it's generally telemarketers at that time but lucky for me I answered it. I would say guess who it was, but I don't think you would ever guess so I will just tell you. Suzy!! Yes, that Suzy. Tweety bird pajama's, sweeping the street, hiding behind the motor home to spy Suzy. I was in shock. Well, she called to let the parents know that her dad passed away a few weeks ago. Very sad, but she even seemed happy to know that her parents are in Heaven together again (her words). It just brought back all these memories of my childhood. We had a nice little chat. She still thinks Casey is 6. It was just so random. Thought I would fill you in and let you enjoy some old school 17th Street memories.
Happy Saturday,
McNelch

Oh my gosh...blast from the past. Honestly, let's all vacuum the street in the name of Suzy. You probably don't remember, Camille, but after Casey was born we went to their house to deliver cookies and all of the adults pulled out money and handed it to dad. They said that it was tradition that when a new baby entered the house, that everyone give it money. Cha-Ching. It was actually a very sweet gesture! Thanks for sharing.
